Our Services

All About Trees provides full-service tree care in Southern Vermont, including Brattleboro, Putney, Dummerston, Bellows Falls, Newfane, Guilford, Marlboro, Wilmington, and Dover, as well as the Hinsdale and Chesterfield area in New Hampshire.

We offer pruning, cabling, tree health care, and tree removal.

We also provide invasive pest management, including management of the Emerald Ash Borer, Beech Leaf Disease, and hemlock pests.

  • Pruning is a great way to improve the structure of a shade tree, reduce problems with fungal infections, improve airflow and light penetration through the canopy, and help trees withstand storm damage. It’s also useful sometimes when a tree is encroaching on your home or other feature of the landscape. All About Trees utilizes the most modern of climbing techniques, making tree pruning safer and reducing the impact of damaging rope friction on the tree. All About Trees excels at the art and science of improving your trees through pruning.

  • Structural defects that cannot be corrected with pruning alone can be minimized with the proper installation of cable and bracing systems. Whether to support a weak branch union or to repair storm damage, we can prescribe the proper system to fit the scenario. All About Trees uses either high-strength steel cable with through-bolts or a less invasive cobra rope system, depending on the situation.

  • All About Trees’ mission is to save the trees that are important to you. We strive to be a local source for knowledge regarding the forces impacting our trees’ health. From endemic fungal infections to broader threats from invasive insects, our trees sometimes need our help. All About Trees is at the forefront of the rapidly evolving understanding of plant health care. Using Integrated Pest Management techniques, including bio-controls and organic (OMRI listed) agents, All About Trees can present you with more and better options for maintaining the health of your trees.

  • When it’s got to go, it’s got to go. All About Trees can perform technical tree removals safely and with mimimal impact on your yard and landscape. Whether it’s storm damage clean-up, hazardous tree removal, or making room and sunlight for other plants and people, All About Trees can advise you and perform the necessary take-down.

Invasive Pest Management

Invasive pest management is an important aspect of tree health care. All About Trees owner and team leader Bob Everingham is an ISA Certified Arborist (NE-6289A) and a Vermont Forest Pest First Detector. He holds Vermont pesticide certification #1426-4543 and is Invasive Insect Management-certified.

One of the greatest invasive pest threats currently facing Vermont’s trees is the Emerald Ash Borer, an insect that feeds on and destroys all species of ash trees.

Another newer threat is Beech Leaf Disease.

Vermont’s forests are also being harmed by a number of other invasive pests, including the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid, an insect that attacks hemlock trees, causing decline and eventual death.
